2010 Visitor Centre opening

We will be open daily from 13th Feb to 31st Oct 2010 - 10am til 5pm (6pm in July & August) 13th March - 31st October.  Normal entry charges apply.

There's lots to do whenever you come, and whatever the weather. We hold a 4 star award in the Visit Scotland Tourist Attraction award scheme and a gold award in the Green Tourism Business Scheme.

We have an ice cream parlour, a tearoom and shop. Our fabulous adventure playground includes the indoor 'Smugglers' Warren' with its underground tunnels and climbing towers, an indoor Under 5s play area and an extensive outdoor play area including pedal karts, 3D maze and viewing tower. For the safety of your children, please ensure they are accompanied at all times.

If you're looking to do something more active, you can enjoy miles of nature trails with wildlife watching opportunities, take the dog for a walk or challenge yourself on our family cycle tracks. Picnic tables are provided along the nature trails, by the car park and outside the front of the visitor centre. We ask you not to eat your picnic in our tearoom or Burger Barn.

What about having a go at creating your own ice cream flavour?  Make your own ice cream starting from the basic ingredients of milk, cream & sugar, then add your choice from our range of ingredients. Our 'Ready Steady Freeze' activity runs during July & August from Monday to Thursday starting at 4pm. If there are at least 8 of you, we'll happily run this event at any other time to suit you. The cost is £12 for two people working together or £15 for three people working together. And of course you get to eat the ice cream that you make! Find out more about our events and activities.
